Daniela Massenz
Founder of Ink! Communications


Daniela is highly regarded in both media and beauty and wellness industries for her extensive knowledge of all things beauty. She has strategic vision, and is skilled in specialised content.

She quips that in her career, besides editorial, she has written on everything from food (both human and canine) to software pitches.

But her enduring passion is communicating about beauty, health and wellness. She believes these are indivisible.


The early days

Daniela began her career as a writer and editor in consumer lifestyle magazines such as FAIRLADY, Men’s Health, Shape, Psychologies, Real Simple and Emirates Women.

She was also a long-standing contributor to custom titles, including Edgars Club and Clicks Club Card magazine.

Throughout her career, Daniela’s specialist writing and beauty knowledge skills have also been sought after. Brands such as Environ, Estée Lauder, Revlon, L’Oréal, Bioderma and other prestigious companies commissioned her to manage special projects.

Daniela founded Ink! Communications as a result of this burgeoning demand, in order to separate editorial and corporate work.

Her client offering grew to include public relations, social media and digital marketing and strategy.


Dipping her toes into digital

Her foray into the digital world began over a decade ago.

In this time, she has managed social media platforms for Foschini, run the local websites and social media platforms for global brands such as Bioderma, Max Factor, Sally Hansen, among others.

She was brought on board as beauty strategist for various e-commerce sites.

She continues to create (for herself and others) and contribute to specialist websites and blogs.

Ilze’s background in direct marketing and corporate identity has led her to become a master of campaign planning.


Over the past decade, Ilze has built-up solid PR relationships with beauty, health and wellness influencers. She works closely with brand managers, retail partners and agencies to conceptualise and execute 360° campaigns.

Ilze relaxes by creating ceramics and trying out new recipes to feed her many men. She loves walking her dogs. 🐕

Graphic Designer and web fundi


Andy has eight years of experience in the marketing industry, specialising in social media campaigns and user experience. He believes that every successful brand needs an online presence.


Since graduating in 2012 from City Varsity: School of Creative Arts & Media, Andy has worked in a variety of industries, but has always ended up on the marketing and design side of things. This led him to easily recognise creative solutions for campaign and advertising roadblocks.




  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro fanatic. He likes getting stuck into digital design and content creation for campaigns
  • Social media management
  • He never shies away from a challenge: video, photo editing, sourcing project resources and meeting tight deadlines…


When not creating,  Andy is into role-playing video games, fantasy novels, and YouTube graphic design tutorials.
